Unique Weeping Greenery and Fall Interest

Why Weeping Japanese Maple Trees?

The Weeping Japanese Maple has unique wispy, green foliage that offers a signature airy, light look with a glowing effect when the sun shines upon it. Plus, its varying shades of green transform into fall interest later in the year, offering month-to-month visual interest in your garden.

Known as the Viridis, this tree can flourish for 60 years or more with very minimal care. As fall approaches, the bright green foliage transforms into a series of colors. First, the leaves turn a bright golden yellow color, then orange. Mid-season, you'll experience darker reddish hues for an impressive autumn look.

And the Weeping Japanese Maple fits nicely into tight spaces where other trees might be too large. Its low mound of cascading leaves atop elegant draping branches creates graceful arches, bringing depth and elegance to any setting...even in small areas.

Why Fast-Growing-Trees.com is Better

Planting & Care

1. Planting: First, select an area with well-drained soil and the proper sunlight for your Weeping Japanese Maple Tree.

When you're ready to plant, the hole should be dug slightly larger than the root system of the plant, 2 to 3 times the width and just as deep as the root ball. The root collar of the plant, the ground line on the stem where the young plant was grown, should be level with the ground surface. Backfill the hole and tamp down the soil as you proceed to cut back on any air pockets from forming. Water the planting site and then mulch to preserve soil moisture.

Mulching around your Japanese Maple helps to maintain a weed-free area, minimizes water loss in dry conditions, and provides winter protection for the roots during cold frosts.

2. Watering: The average amount of water supplied to the most common lawn and garden plants should be adequate for your new Japanese Maple. During the hot summer months, water your Japanese Maple in early morning or evening.

3. Fertilizing: Japanese Maples do not require large amounts of nutrients. If your other lawn and garden plants do well, your maple should grow just fine. Any recommended fertilization should use a balanced complete fertilizer for shrubs and trees. This should be applied once a year in early spring, and if possible, be applied just before the leaves appear.

4. Pruning: Your tree will need 2 to 3 years to become firmly established in your lawn or garden. After this period, you may begin to prune your tree if desired, although it is not required.

Great Tree, Great Service

Our tree arrived quite quickly and the tree was very well wrapped and in perfect condition. It’s much taller than I expected and it’s very healthy. It’s planted and we are excited to watch it grow. I’m very pleased about the product and the service. Excellent.

Yes, I would absolutely buy from FGT'S again and recommend them to friends.

Cutest tree in Texas! Planted in pot for patio living. Arrived very healthy with buds starting to swell. I would have a patio full if I could.

Green Beauty

I really like this tree. The size was nice and there were leaves on the tree. I planted the tree and the leaves did not fall off. A few of the leaves are starting to change colors.
