Stays Lush and Green Year-Round

Why Titan Boxwood Shrubs?

With so many boxwood varieties from which to choose, it’s easy to narrow down the options when wanting a hardy shrub that stays green year-round. The Titan Boxwood fits the bill. It maintains its rich, green color, whether the snow is falling or the sun is at its hottest.

Even better? This evergreen retains its abundant, green foliage and winter interest through it all. Despite what its name suggests, the Titan Boxwood is a dwarf shrub, reaching an average of 3 to 6 feet at maturity. So, the small leaves and densely-branched structure can be shaped into a hedge plant, formal garden art, or even a container topiary.

Why Fast-Growing-Trees.com is Better

First, the Titan is easy to grow in just about any setting. It even comes equipped with its own natural repellency, keeping deer at bay. They won’t be seeking out your boxwood plants for a quick winter meal. And with a compact, mound-like shape that grows almost as wide as it does tall, the Titan Boxwood suits garden styles from modern to more traditional.

But the best part? We've planted, grown and shipped your Titan Boxwood for success. You get a healthy, well-rooted shrub that thrives in almost any environment...no visit to big box necessary.

So when the rest of your garden has succumbed to winter’s grip, you can depend on the Titan Boxwood for a splash of green. Make the Titan Boxwood part of your garden landscape today!

Planting & Care

1. Planting: Pick a location where your Titan will receive full or partial sunlight (4 to 8 hours of sunlight per day). If you live in a very hot climate, they will do best with some afternoon shade and well-drained soil.

Then, dig a hole the same depth as the root ball and twice as wide. Place the Boxwood upright into the hole ensuring it is straight and begin to back fill the hole, watering every couple inches to prevent air pockets from forming. Finally, to help retain moisture in the soil and deter weed growth, apply a 2- to 3-inch deep layer of mulch around the base of the Boxwood, extending 12 inches past the foliage.

2. Watering: Water the Titan deeply to ensure the roots are getting adequate moisture (generally one or two waterings per week will suffice). Once it has established in your garden, it will need a weekly watering during periods of drought or extreme heat.

3. Fertilizing: Apply a balanced shrub fertilizer formula such as 10-10-10 in spring, before new growth emerges for your Titan.

4. Pruning: Titan Boxwoods are slow growers, so if left unpruned, they will grow into neat tufts of green naturally. However, they can be pruned into any shape - pruning should be done after the last frost for the season so that no new growth is damaged by frost.

Good so far

My boxwood arrived in perfect condition and I planted it the next day. Of course, a few days after that, we got a severe cold snap with well below normal temperature and I was concerned that my little boxwood wouldn’t survive, but so far it has. I am looking forward to seeing it grow.

Healthy all weather small plant

A great experience. I wanted a smaller plant for my balcony, so got the smallest they have. I repotted it to a large enough planter anyway. It arrived healthy and undamaged. Since it needs time to adjust, I am keeping it inside for this winter, but will keep it outside next year. Great that the company has smaller plants. For those with patios and balconies. Though I'd love more variety for my zone - 7.
