Rose Plants: Growing Roses and More

Stunning green foliage meets months of carefree color, making our roses second to none! When you order your roses from Fast Growing Trees, you get months of hardy, carefree blooms in a rainbow of colors you'll love for your homescape. Cut and bring them indoors to enjoy the fragrance, experience multicolor blooms in your backyard, or plant them in containers next to your entryways...no matter where you place your roses, guests and neighbors will be talking!

How to Plant Roses

Specific planting directions will depend on the variety you choose, from the Drift to the Knock Out®, but most roses like full to partial sun (3 to 6 hours of sun per day) and well-drained soil.

When you're ready to plant your roses, dig a hole large enough to accommodate your shrub's root ball (with some room to grow), place your rose and backfill the soil. Finally, water the surrounding soil to settle the roots, and you're ready to grow.

How to Care for Roses

Long-term care for roses couldn't be simpler. Start by establishing a solid watering schedule for your new roses. Generally, we recommend watering once or twice weekly, but if you’re not sure when to water, check your surrounding soil about 2 inches down. If it feels dry here, it's time to water your roses.
