Heat Tolerant Shrub + Giant Red Blooms
Why Red Rhododendron Shrubs?
Extreme heat tolerance meets huge red blooms in the spring, making the Red Rhododendron second to none. In fact, this heat-tolerant Rhododendron can go where no rhododendron has ever gone before...thriving in direct sunlight or partial shade.
Popular for its huge clusters of vibrant red flowers, this shrub takes any garden up a notch. And not only is it stunning...but it's also adaptable to an array of conditions, from poor soil to sweltering temperatures and beyond. The Red Rhododendron is even drought-tolerant, so you won't have to worry about installing irrigation or watering constantly.
From flower beds to walkways and property borders or groupings along your foundation, the Red Rhododendron delights. You can grow them just about anywhere you want!
Why Fast-Growing-Trees.com is Better
First, your Red Rhododendron is shipped in a larger container with nutrient-rich soil, ensuring you receive an established and better-developed plant. Many of our competitors only offer small sizes, which will take years to reach an appealing height.
And unlike other big-box garden centers, we never ship bare-root. When your Red Rhododendron arrives at your door, it has its healthy roots intact to deliver bolder color, bigger blooms, and better branching than ever before.
You'll be excited about your new rhododendrons. Watch them quickly fill in voids with scarlet blooms and glossy foliage that are not found in any other specimen. Get your Red Rhododendron today!
Planting & Care
1. Planting: Select an area with full to partial sun (4 to 6 hours of sunlight daily) and well-drained soil. From there, dig a hole large enough to accommodate your shrub's rootball, place your shrub, and backfill the soil.
3. Fertilizing: Feed with a well-balanced fertilizer after your shrub's blooms have dropped.
4. Pruning: Shear for shaping purposes in fall or early winter. You can remove dead and broken branches at any time of the year.

Impressive!
The Rhododendron was well packaged and in very good shape when it arrived dispite the fact that it took several days to get here. The next day I dug a large hole, mixed peat moss with the soil, and planted it. Within two weeks it had new growth and is still doing fine with buds ready to bloom in the spring. Impressive!
Foliage looking beautiful with new growth
Started late so no blooms expected yet. Look forward to flowers next season! Must say, I was happy bought more mature, larger size plant which helped it do beautifully through very high temps and humidity in part sun area of garden. Very happy with this company’s shipping and product quality.
Growing well
Arrived on time in healthy condition. Started to grow next set of leaves. I'm happy with my purchase.
Received very healthy shrubs, that are doing well after planting
I purchased 4 of these shrubs and they are all doing very well!
I would buy it again.
I had the perfect place to see a rhododendron, unfettered by buildings, fences, etc., but was reluctant to plant one b/c I haven't had luck with growing azaleas in the past. This Nova Zembla variety is perfect. It gets plenty of sun in the earlier part of the day, but gets dappled shade from mature trees during the strong mid-afternoon sun. Arrived well-packaged in great condition. Strong new growth, a few buds look like they may open even this late into June!
