Planting & Care
1. Planting: Select an area with full to partial sun (3 to 6 hours of sunlight daily) and well-drained soil.
Dig a hole large enough to accommodate the rootball of your Red Sensation Hydrangea, place your plant, backfill, and water to settle the roots.
If you're planting in a container, select a pot that's twice as large as your shipped container and make sure it has drainage holes. Place your Red Hydrangea, use organic soil mix, and find a sunny area on your porch or patio for your plant.
2. Watering: Water once or twice weekly. If you're not sure when to water, check your soil about 3 inches down - if the soil is dry here, it's time to water.
3. Fertilizing: Use a well-balanced fertilizer, like 10-10-10, in the spring before new growth begins.
4. Pruning: It's not required, but the Red Sensation can be pruned or trimmed for shaping during winter.

The hydrangea looked healthy when it arrived, but they are very small. The are planted and appear to be growing. I will update towards middle of summer when I have a better idea of their growth P.S. I am going to say “yes “ to recommend product but really should be a maybe choice as I have no idea how the plant will grow.

I ordered six of these red hydrangeas. They arrived well packaged as always. I planted them all the same day and they are starting to grow. New leaves about everyday now. I am looking forward to the Blooms if not this year for sure next year.
