1. Planting: Thriving in indirect light and a little dappled shade, your Chinese Evergreen should be placed in front of a bright window. Keep it away from drafty areas and make sure it gets some protection from the harsh afternoon sun.
To plant, select a container that's twice the width of the shipped container and one that has drainage holes. Use organic soil mix, place your Red Chinese Evergreen and water to settle its roots.

Easy care and pretty

I never had experience with this plant so I replanted it in a large container, but I watered it too much. The next day, several lower leaves had black areas on them , and two were waterlogged. I cut them off and put the plant outside to dry out. Now the plant is doing well, has wonderful color and makes me want to have more of them in my house. It is not a fussy plant to care for. It likes light but not sun, normal home temperatures and not too much water. I love it!
