Planting & Care
1. Planting: Plant your Red Oak in a spot in your yard that receives at least 6 hours of direct sunlight each day. And pick a spot that will give this tree plenty of room to grow. Avoid places near power lines or buildings. You'll want to give this tree at least 50' of space.
Dig a hole large enough to accommodate the root ball. After you plant the tree, tamp down the soil until it is firm. Thoroughly water the base of the tree so that water penetrates the roots. Spread a good amount of mulch around the base of the tree to retain moisture.
2. Watering: Water the tree to keep the ground moist. Watering deeply, once a week, should be enough to help your young tree establish roots. Once your tree matures, you only need to water in the dry seasons where you get less than 1 inch of rainfall per month.
3. Fertilizing: If you notice that your tree is not growing 2 feet every year, you can add a general-purpose fertilizer once a year.

Great trees!
Good product and delivery.
Better than advertised.
Ordered a different tree earlier in the year. And it arrived badly damage from shipping, was asked to leave a review, and I did mentioning the tree was destroyed but was clear it was going to live, was just gonna take a very long time to get what it felt like I paid for. Customer service was very good and gave me a store credit for the amount of the other tree purchased. I have two cottonwoods in my back that are in poor health I was going to have taken out within the next couple years, so I figured I better get some new trees now. Got two of the 3-4 foot varieties with the credit, pretty much just had to pay for the shipping. When these got here they were in much better shape, no broken branches, the central leaders weren’t pruned(which almost never happens when I buy trees online), and they were actually both in between 5-6feet even though the tags on them said 3-4. They Are just establishing a good root system, so they haven’t really grown at all this first year, but while small- the fall color in this first year is a magnificent shade of reddish orange.
Nice tree!
Customer service was very helpful-will buy more
I used it as a memorial tree for my husband who passed away recently. I know the tree will be beautiful
