Planting & Care
1. Planting: Plant your Lavender Rhododendron in an area that receives full to partial sunlight (4 to 6 hours of sunlight daily). For a hedge, plant your Lavender Rhododendrons about three feet apart.
Dig a hole about twice the size of your shrub's root ball, place your shrub, backfill the soil and mulch the surrounding soil. Finally, water the area to settle the roots.
2. Watering: Give your Lavender Rhododendron a deep watering once your soil feels dry to the touch, down about two inches.
3. Fertilizing: You'll know that spring has arrived when beautiful purple flowers emerge on your Lavender Rhododendron. After your flowers have bloomed, fertilize your Lavender Rhododendron with an acidic fertilizer for an acid-loving shrub.

Ordered two Lavender Rododendron which were in gallon size, both in excellent shape. Planet and growing. I would advise anyone that wants a health plant, order from Fast Growing Trees. Mu first order was with Nursery in Ohio, the plants came in DEAD.

So far, so good. Our 3 shrubs arrived at the beginning of a week long heat wave with temperatures over one hundred most days. One appeared a bit stressed upon arrival, and since the new plants were going into a spot with a west facing exposure, we decided to re-pot them in 3 gallon containers and hold them in a protected corner of our yard until the temperature was more favorable to a successful outcome. We planted them in the ground this morning according to Lewis' detailed instructions, and are looking forward to watching them grow into beautiful mature plants. I am very impressed with Fast Growing Trees, and especially appreciated being able to speak with a plant expert for advice specific to our situation, as well as all the customer reviews which I found very helpful when making my decision to use this company.
