Amazing Color Combination
The name may be a little odd– but the contrasting colors are phenomenal! Amazing bright red pedals have a yellow underside. As each rose unfurls, the swirl of color is awe-inspiring. A slow reveal of each bloom is on a perpetual cycle of new flowers that come to life all summer long. Rather than your typical single flower per stem rose, our Ketchup and Mustard plant will produce clusters of multiple blooms for an explosion of color over and over.
Perfectly Trained Tree-Form Rose Tree
Love a rose bush? Then you’ll love this rose tree! Hand-grafted and nurtured to perfection, you’ll get a beautiful tree that produces as many roses as a standard rose bush (if not more). The difference is the shape. Your tree will be full and rounded at the top of a slim trunk.
We take a significant amount of time to train and groom it to its exceptional shape. Once delivered, your tree is ready to provide amazing red and yellow roses from the very first spring. With virtually no effort from you – it comes back year after year.
Easy to Grow
Most rose bushes require a lot of maintenance. BUT! This is not your typical bush. Plant it and marvel at its unique beauty with no worries.
It’s disease resistant, withstands hot and cold temperatures, and as long as it’s in the sun for 6-8 hours, it will thrive. Of course it needs watering, but Mother Nature can handle that for the most part.
If you live in an area that experiences extreme hot , or dry, spells – this is the best rose tree for you. It’s one of the easiest – and most alluring plants you can own.
Versatile
The Ketchup and Mustard Tree stands out when planted in a flower garden. And, because of the unexpected color-combination, it makes an impressive ornamental.
Plant multiples in a row, or replace your shrubs for an immediate, dramatic display of color. They produce so many roses throughout the summer – you can clip them and add to your favorite vases inside. They’re not just attractive - they have a delicate aroma that you’ll look forward to each year. It’s truly a special plant.
Everyone loves this one. Don’t wait. Order now!
Planting & Care
1. Planting: Select a well-drained site in full to partial sun (4 to 8 hours of sunlight per day). If you choose a partial sun location, make sure your roses receive at least 6 hours of direct sunlight per day (afternoon shade is better than morning shade).
First, space 3 feet apart if planting multiple trees. Dig a hole twice as wide and twice as deep as the root ball. Backfill the soil until you have a hole the same size or slightly larger than the container the rose is in. Plant the rose at the same depth as it is in the container. Mulch around the base of the tree to keep competing weeds and grasses from growing.
2. Watering: Water around the roots rather than overhead, and water about once or twice weekly. Mulching will greatly assist with soil moisture retention.
3. Fertilizing: Fertilize with an organic rose fertilizer once a month.
4. Pruning: Sterilize your sharp pruning shears with hot water or rubbing alcohol, and always prune at an angle. Start by pruning back a little in the spring after the last hard freeze, and remove dead or old canes.
