Planting & Care
To plant your Green Mound Juniper Topiary, dig a hole deep enough to cover its root ball. After placing your plant, tamp down the soil while backfilling to avoid air pockets. Finally, mulch around the surrounding soil and water to settle the roots.
2. Watering: Once established, the Green Mound Juniper Topiary is drought tolerant, but it’s important to have a regular watering schedule for best growth. Generally, the plant responds well to weekly watering. You may water more in times of drought or less in seasons with heavy rainfall. If you’re not sure when to water, though, simply check the soil – about 2 or 3 inches down. If the soil is dry at this depth, it’s time to water.
3. Fertilizing: Fertilize your Green Mound Juniper Topiary in early spring and again in mid fall. We recommend using an organic granular or water soluble fertilizer for best results.
4. Pruning: To keep your topiary's shape, prune it annually. Simply avoid pruning during the hottest and coldest months to avoid strain on the tree.
