Compact, Cold-Hardy Evergreen Shrub

This dense, winter-hardy shrub is perfect for anyone looking for year-long foliage without the hassle!

A dwarf variety of the classic Skip Laurel, or Cherry Laurel, this type of plant is known for being no-maintenance and easy-to-grow. The Green Goblet provides the same benefits, in a smaller form.

At maturity, it will reach a height of around 3.5 feet and a width of 4 feet, growing wider than it is tall. This bush-like habit makes the Green Goblet Laurel ideal for lower hedges or planting in the foreground of your landscape space. Plant your Green Goblet Laurel  individually, in mass plantings or as a short privacy screen for a sitting area or patio.

The foliage of the Green Goblet Laurel boasts shiny, dark-green leaves. This foliage offers more than just shades of green during the seasons, though. As new growth forms on the Green Goblet Cherry Laurel, you’ll find it emerging as a bronze-red color.

Cultivated in Hungary, the Green Goblet Laurel is designed to survive the extreme cold. Plus, maintenance for your Green Goblet Cherry Laurel is nearly nonexistent, especially with pruning - it's only required if you wish to maintain or control the shape of the plant.

Don’t wait to add evergreen, shimmering foliage to your landscape year round - get your Green Goblet Cherry Laurel today!

Note: If your plant arrives with holes or damaged leaves, don’t be alarmed! Laurels do not like being in containers, so it is very common for this cosmetic damage to occur. Once plant your Laurel in the ground, new growth will emerge happy, healthy and hole-free. If you have any concerns, don’t hesitate to contact us!

Planting & Care

1. Planting: First, select a location with well-drained soil and full sun to partial shade – any area with about 4 to 6 hours of sunlight should suffice. When you’re ready to plant, dig a hole that’s about three times the width of your plant’s root ball, and place your plant.

2. Watering: Once established, your Cherry Laurel is relatively drought-tolerant, but it’s important to have a regular watering schedule for the first few growing seasons. Water about once weekly or check the surrounding soil about 2 or 3 inches down.

Compact Laurel Bushes

They arrived, as does everything from this company, in excellent condition. It was a week before I could get them in the ground so I kept them moist and they did very well. They are now planted up against the brick front of the house so that as they mature and fill in they will present a solid bank of green. Because they are broadleaf evergreen, I will be able to have green against the house all year.
