Stunning Flowers on a Compact Tree

Cloud 9 Dogwood trees are cold hardy to zone 5 with a much higher tolerance for freezing temperatures, ice, and snow than other dogwood varieties. If your area has harsh winter weather then the Cloud 9 Dogwood is the top choice for a flowering dogwood in your landscape.

Once Cloud 9 Dogwoods bloom in the spring everyone stops to marvel at their striking beauty as it puts them in a euphoric state. Their iconic white blossoms provide a floral show that can’t be missed.

Clusters of large, pure white blooms cover the entire canopy and cause it to look like your landscape has a bright white cloud floating in it. Your neighbors will love coming by your home to glance at the gigantic flowers again and again.

The white flowers glow and illuminate the landscape especially when the Cloud 9 Dogwood’s dark, lush leaves fill in behind them to create a vibrant display of contrasting colors.

Cloud 9 Dogwood leaves also fill in to give the canopy an attractive rounded shape making it the perfect choice for an ornamental tree in the summer. In the fall the leaves turn a remarkable shade of reddish-purple, which serves as an opening act for their winter color show.

When Cloud 9 Dogwoods drop their leaves ornamental red berries emerge on every branch, filling the empty winter landscape with blazing color. While your neighbor’s yards are empty during the colder seasons, yours will still have breath-taking color.

Birds are a delight to watch in the winter as they come to snack on the red berries. You’ll be able to watch them nest in your tree from the comfort of your own home.

Cloud 9 Dogwood Trees only grow between 15-30 feet tall, so they fit perfectly in any landscape, even in smaller ones. They will bring color and beauty to your yard and won’t outgrow the space.

The Cloud 9 Dogwood can be referred to as the ‘hands-free’ dogwood because it’s very low maintenance. With a high resistance to pests, diseases and deer once planted Cloud 9 Dogwoods take care of themselves.

Simply plant your new Cloud 9 Dogwood trees and step back to enjoy seasons of fuss-free beauty.

Planting & Care

1. Planting: Choose a planting site for your Dogwood with well-drained soil and full to partial sun (4 to 6 hours of sunlight with some afternoon shade).

Dig a planting hole for your dogwood that is two times the width of your tree’s root ball and just as deep. Place your tree in the planting hole, keeping the top of the root ball even with the ground. Backfill your soil, water to settle the roots, and tamp down the surrounding soil.

Finally, mulch around the base of the tree to conserve soil moisture.

2. Watering: Water your tree weekly or check the surrounding soil for dryness. If your soil is dry about 3 or 4 inches down, water the area.

FGT Tip: Lighter green leaves are a sign of overwatering, while drooping leaves can signal underwatering.

3. Fertilizing: Dogwood Trees do not require feeding, but if you use fertilizer, feed your tree in April or May with any general-purpose fertilizer.

The two trees were planted and thriving in the woods, which surround our "Cottage in the Woods"; and I wish I could afford more!

Happy

Wonderful ! Arrived as promised...secure in box, early leaf growth on all limbs, hyrated, no trauma to product, & remained such until planted. The frosty nites, hi winds, unexpected storms, & adverse planting conditions prevented planting for 5 days. W/low air temp, lots of windows, & watered for moisture (not wet) it remained ready for perfect planting conditions on day 5.
