Huge Double Pink Blooms
Why Camellia 'Shishi Gashira' Shrubs?
Fabulous pink blossoms, drought resistance, and an all-around stunning form merge, making the Camellia Shishi second to none.
Even better? The large pink blooms on this Camellia start flowering in spring and last through fall. Unlike other varieties, the evergreen Shishi keeps on growing like a champ, delivering color the way that most flowering shrubs can't.
Plus, Shishi is a low-growing Camellia perfect for small and tight spaces. Brighten any foundation planting, hedging, borders and beyond with the Gashira. In fact, it's the ideal solution for screening air-conditioning units, well pumps, trash bins, or any other unsightly residential or commercial areas. The bright pink blooms appear mid-season around early October and will continue to bloom into early December, sprucing up your garden with ease.
Tolerant of a wide range of soil and environmental conditions, Shishi Gashira is a top-notch performer. All Camellias are easily pruned into any desired shape with no fear of damaging the plant. We recommend pruning in early spring before the new growth has emerged.
Why Fast-Growing-Trees.com is Better
But the best part? Your Camellia arrives with a large, 3-gallon root structure for the price of what others charge for a 1 gallon. We grow it 3 to 4 years so that it will immediately look good in your landscape.
This is several years longer than our competitors, but it's a difference you'll love when it starts exploding with beautiful blooms.
So, don't wait until they're gone. Get your own Shishi Gashira Camellia, before they're all gone!
Planting & Care
1. Planting: Plant in an area with some shade - any location that gets about 3 to 6 hours of sunlight per day and is well-drained.
Dig a hole that's about two to three times the size of your plant's rootball, place your Camellia, and backfill the soil.
If you're container planting, select a pot that's about twice the size of your shipped container and ensure it has drainage holes. Use organic soil and place your plant.
2. Watering: Feel the soil every few days. If the soil is dry about 3 inches down, then gently give your Camellia a bit of water. Allow the water to soak into the soil as you pour.
3. Fertilizing: Fertilize your Camellia in the spring after the flowers have dropped. Using a soluble fertilizer for acid-loving plants once or twice a month in spring and mid-summer is best.
4. Pruning: After your blooming season has ended, you’ll want to remove any dead or weak wood (a gray tinge to the bark is an easy way to identify dead branches). Thin out the growth a bit as well.

My Camellia Shi-Shi Gashira Shrub
Arrived in very good condition due to excellent packaging. They are doing very well with signs of new growth. Looking forward to a pleasing experience when they bloom.
It’s too soon to know.
The camellias arrived in good condition and are doing well. So far, I can recommend them. But it’ll be at least a year before I know if I truly like them. Ask me then.
Can’t Wait to see Blooms
